Company History
Grassform’s journey began in 2004, founded by brothers Mark and Simon Dunning, who followed in their father’s footsteps building football pitches and golf courses. From these humble beginnings, they recognised a gap in the market for affordable, reliable temporary access solutions — driven by a deep appreciation for protecting the very landscapes they once created. What started as a niche offering has since grown to support not only major national infrastructure projects but also some of the UK’s most high-profile events. This solid foundation, combined with the expertise brought in through key appointments over the years, has propelled Grassform to the forefront of the industry — known for its dependable service, cost-effective solutions, and a refreshingly frustration-free approach.
Grassform Directors
Company directors Mark and Simon Dunning have both worked in the plant hire and sports ground industries for over 25 years with numerous high-profile clients both domestically and internationally on contracts in excess of £4m. Throughout their mass experience within these industries it has given them a great insight and extensive knowledge into the ground protection industry which the company now specialises in to create temporary roadways for heavy-duty vehicle access. Whether the ground protection is needed for a construction site, festivals, or plant access the directors of Grassform Group have the perfect team and equipment to do the job. This is all backed up by a well-oiled administration system to ensure the company achieves its objectives.

As part of our drive toward environmental responsibility, we’ve upgraded our fleet with state-of-the-art, low-emission lorries and introduced electric work vehicles to support our journey to net zero. Additionally, the installation of solar panels at our facilities is helping reduce our energy consumption and environmental footprint.
