Grassform Group was approached by a large ground investigation company needing to establish temporary access roads and a compound for drilling rigs and materials storage. The project required secure reliable access in area with soft, uneven terrain. With major concerns over security on site the client preferred the option of composite Grassform overlap panels rather than offerings from other contractors who supply aluminium due to its theft risk.

Process

Within 24 hours of taking the call Grassform sent a specialist engineer out to site to complete a thorough site survey and run through the customers detailed requirements. The following day Grassform Group had deployed 3 teams on site installing 3000m2 of temporary roadway into various locations allowing the customer to keep on track with their project.

Results / Conclusion

The temporary roads and compound allowed the ground investigation company to move drilling rigs and materials safely and efficiently, even in extremely challenging conditions. The Overlap mats Grassform Group provided exceptional load distribution, preventing soil rutting or damaging the soft underlying terrain.
