We all rely on our phones – whether it’s for business, scrolling through social media, or checking if the takeaway order is out for delivery. But what happens when a critical telephone mast needs urgent repairs, and the only access route looks more like an obstacle course than a road?
That was exactly the situation our client found themselves in. Their team needed to reach a remote mast for essential emergency maintenance, however the site was inaccessible, with rough terrain that made even the sturdiest vehicles struggle.
Solutions / Execution
Whilst this emergency hire did not call for miles of trackway, the right solution in the right place was critical to get the repair team where they needed to go.
We installed a small but mighty section of TuffTrak trackway, creating a safe and stable route for the crew and their equipment. In just a few hours, what was once an impassable, bumpy mess became a smooth, reliable access road, barely wide enough for the job, but strong enough to support heavy vehicles without any sinking or slipping. Our bespoke telehandler installation method was perfect for this install, especially with how narrow and remote access was.
The Challenges
No Signal, No Service, No Access!
Results
Minimal trackway and maximum impact, the TuffTrak panels were installed quickly to prevent delays. All whilst ensuring the land beneath remained intact, preventing unnecessary mess or disruption so our clients’ engineers could now work efficiently without worrying about getting stuck.
This hire proves that sometimes, big solutions come in small packages. Our client got their mast repaired without delays or drama and the residents within the area kept their precious phone signal, not having to suffer the horror of buffering videos or unanswered texts.
