At Grassform, we understand that infrastructure maintenance does not stop for the weather. When our ongoing customer needed 450 linear metres of trackway to access a remote telephone mast, we were up to the task – despite the soaring temperatures that made working conditions extremely tough.
The Challenge: Heat, Timing & Terrain
This project was not only about providing access, it was about doing so quickly, efficiently and without damaging the dry grassland beneath. With temperatures climbing, working conditions were demanding and the trackway needed to be installed in just one day by a two-person team.
The extreme heat also meant that the ground was baked hard, reducing the risk of vehicles sinking but increasing the potential for surface damage. Our solution needed to provide stability while ensuring minimal disruption to the landscape.

Armed with experience and the right equipment, our team laid 450 metres of trackway with precision. The panels created a secure, non-slip route for maintenance vehicles, ensuring smooth and safe access despite the dry, unforgiving conditions.
Working efficiently under the blazing sun, our two-person crew kept the installation on track, staying hydrated and taking necessary precautions to ensure safety whilst maintaining speed.
