A solar farm, set to harness the power of the sun and generate clean energy for thousands of homes. Sounds like a dream, right? Well, it was – until the construction crews arrived.
Turns out the great British weather had other plans! After weeks of relentless rain, the idyllic green fields chosen for the solar farm had transformed into a muddy abyss, swallowing boots, trucks, and the occasional unlucky site worker. The site needed heavy plant access but even the sturdiest machines were getting stuck faster than a Land Rover at Glastonbury. That’s where we came in.
Result
Armed with TuffTrak ground protection panels, our team swooped in like superheroes (minus the capes, but with just as much determination). Our mission? Create a stable, mud-proof access route so that construction could carry on without turning into an impromptu off-road endurance race.
In just a matter of days, we laid down hundreds of metres of trackway, crafting solid, non-slip roads through the site. Heavy machinery that had previously been more stuck than an email in an outbox could now glide across the land like a solar-powered dream.
Final Thoughts
At Grassform, we don’t just lay trackway – we rescue projects from the brink of disaster. Whether it’s a solar farm in the swamp, a wind farm in the wilds, or just another great British construction site under siege from the weather, we have got you covered!
As for that solar farm? It’s now fully operational, soaking up the sun without a muddy tyre in sight.
