Grassform is proud to be supporting the major refurbishment and expansion works at Trafford Golf Centre, Europe’s premier golf practice facility and home to the UK’s largest golf academy.
As part of a significant investment to enhance the site and increase capacity, extensive construction activity is being undertaken, requiring safe, reliable access for heavy plant and specialist equipment over an extended period.
The Challenge
The refurbishment programme required long-term access across the site for a range of heavy vehicles, including cranes, MEWPs, and construction traffic. Ground conditions and the scale of the works meant that a robust, well-planned ground protection solution was essential to:
- Support repeated heavy loading
- Protect underlying ground surfaces
- Maintain safe access routes throughout multiple phases of work
- Remain in place for several months without compromising performance
The Grassform Solution
Following a detailed site survey by one of our Engineers, Grassform designed and installed a bespoke trackway solution tailored to the project requirements.
A total of 6,676m² of heavy-duty ground protection was installed to create stable access routes and working areas across the site. The system has been deployed for multi-month use, providing continuous support for cranes, MEWPs, deliveries, and general construction traffic throughout the refurbishment.
